The Becs-Scie Workshop: a passion for handcrafted work

The pleasure of working with materials and passing on know-how.

In Bury, in the Eastern Townships, the Atelier Les Becs-Scie brings together three worlds: canvas-covered cedar canoes, upholstery and cabinetmaking.

What unites them? The desire to create with care, to preserve what deserves to be preserved, and to give shape to projects that have meaning for their owners.

Skills to be kept alive

Traditional techniques bear witness to the ingenuity and patience of the artisans who came before us. We love to keep their work alive through creations and restorations that respect the materials.

Whether it's a canoe or a piece of furniture, each item calls for careful attention and a tailored approach.

Carefully chosen materials

Wood and fabrics are at the heart of our work. We value their origin and their place in each project.

Our wood is sourced from within 50 kilometers of the workshop. Other materials come from Quebec and Canada.

A relationship that begins with listening

Behind a request sometimes lies a family story, a memory, or a long-held idea.

We take the time to understand what matters to you in order to define the project and the possibilities for its realization.
